The "Friends of the German Blade Museum" are a group of people who are interested in the museums collection and the events. Since 1954 (the year the collection was established in) they support the museum with material and ideas.

For example, in the year 2003 a very significant cutlery collection was attained from Dr. Marquardt. The "Dr. Marquardt Collection" is a new and extraordinary attraction for the German Blade Museum.
