Everyone needs a lace dress in their wardrobe, whether it is full, tight, loose, or boxy, they are classic. For today’s tutorial I made a boxier version, that hugs my hips. I love how it turned out and was shocked at how easy and straight forward it was. There isn’t much hemming, measuring, or sewing at all. And if you decide not to make lining underneath, it could make a great swimsuit cover up! Pictures by Corey .
dress: self-made  /  shoes:   7 for all mankind     /  purse: thrifted

Supplies:
lace (preferably something with a little bit of structure, but not too stiff)
-1.5 yards to 3 yards depending on the width (I used 45″ width lace (selvedge to selvedge) so I only needed a yard and a half)
lining (same amount as the lace)
sewing machine
thread
needle
pins

This is my favorite! I’m curious, though, how do you get it on without a zipper? does the fabric have some stretch in it?
